11 Years Old . . . . FINALLY!

Caleb has been 10 for eternity, or so it seems . . . he is glad to move forward in life as he turns 11 today!

11 Things About Caleb:

1. He has the Best Dimples!

2. He was born with the spirit of an entrepreneur

3. He is very studious

4. He keeps his room tidy and neat (everything has its place)

5. He makes goals and keeps them

6. He LOVES to read!

7. He knows how to work and work at something to perfect it, no matter what it is

8. He is addicted to his iPod (audio books, apps, music, figuring out what makes it tick, etc.)

9. He plays the piano well

10. He works hard at being a gymnast

11. He has a great singing voice

Being the only boy brings some advantages and some drawbacks. One of those advantages is getting to have your own room, when some of the girls have to share. A drawback? It is the smallest room in the house! So, for his birthday this year, we gave Caleb the gift of a loft bed to help maximize the space in his little shoebox. He was very surprised and excited. However, it took two rounds of trips to Ikea yesterday to get exactly what we needed.

Round 1 = too many pieces, too much work, and 3/4 of Caleb’s room!

Round 2: much simpler and less time-consuming . .

A complete day later and we had a very happy boy!

Because getting and setting up the gift took our entire Saturday (when Caleb wasn’t at the gym), our evening of ice skating was postponed until next weekend.

Today, we were able to celebrate with the rest of Caleb’s gifts . . .
