Tuesday we got out of the house again – to a small zoo close by. I don’t know why but we’ve always been there during the ‘off-season’ so we’ve never enjoyed all the animals or the bonus features, like the train that circles the outskirts of the zoo. Admission is free on Mondays and Tuesdays [...]

Now that everyone else is finishing up their summer vacation, we are beginning ours! We did year-round homeschooling this year and somehow we got off track, thus only earning us 2 weeks of vacation, rather than 4. Look what I found at the grocery store yesterday! I was surprised to see the fall things coming out already but realized it really is just around the corner. Of course, I bought 5 bags and we almost finished off one entire one yesterday! I love the changing of the seasons!!

We got a “special delivery” yesterday. This is the bulk of our school books for this next year. We’re still waiting on a few stragglers and already have quite a bit. Can’t wait to get going on our plans for the next school year. I love the first day of school!
